On the XT, would it be best with the 8" or would the 6" work just fine?
Hard to say, but I just installed the 6" Stealth on my Bowtech Patriot. Weighs 10 oz. and its plenty heavy enough for me. As dead in the hand as the SB XT is, I really don't think you need the 8" Stealth.
