if shooting roundball use a lubed patch.. you might want to shoot some lubed conicals to smooth the barrel instead of the ball. Also be sure to clean the barrel good afterward. You can also take some J-B Bore Paste on a piece of scotch brite scouring pad and work the barrel over with that to smooth it.
