Default Ameristep Brickhouse TSC - My Review

So this year, I have made it a priority to try and take a turkey with a bow. I have killed lots of birds in the past, however only with a shotgun. The last several years I focused on calling birds for others, because I get a thrill out of simply working the birds, and don't really care who pulls the trigger. This year my friend (APAJaws on here) and I decided we want to try to kill turkeys with a bow, and we also wanted to film it going down. Watch for videos later this spring, I should be able to do all editing on my new Dell Media Station. We will be hunting PA and NY, and should be able to get some pretty good action on camera.

Naturally, a blind will make this much easier. I don't have the $$$ for a Double Bull unfortunately, and really wasn't happy with much else out there. On my way home from the Harrisburg Sportsmans Show, we stopped at cabelas, and they had a Brickhouse all setup, plus they were on clearance ($100). I picked one up.

It is fairly light, around 13lbs with the fold up chairs that also fit into the bag. It is plenty roomy enough inside. I am 6" tall and if on the seat in the middle inside of it, I can barely brush my finger tips on the sides of the blind if I put my arms out. It will be a bit tight w/ 2 guys, but I don't think it will be a problem. I have drawn my bow inside it, even w/ a 12" AEP stabilizer on the front of my Allegiance, there is plenty of room. Setup is easy, takedown is easy as well. For $100, I can't see how you can beat this blind. Here are pics...............
