For those that don't know, removing the anal canal/tube is an execellent way to keep your deer cleaner than splitting the pelvic bone...especially in the field..it keeps the legs from flopping when draggin it out etc...keeps the meat cleaner...the tool isn't necessary...I ring the anus with a knife and simply pull it free....the tool....that's crazy, something else to carry in and leave....
