Sorry you have to take a bashing from these guys. A better idea would be to spray the scent on a clean rag and tie it to a string and tie the other end to your boot. Walk to your stand, dragging the scented rag, then turn do a U turn really close to your stand. You do thisso that the deer might be quartering away for a better shot and facing away to allow you to draw your bow or gun. Also, hang the rag there at the end of that U turn.
And by the way, this works. Especially during the rut. Works even better with a decoy.
I agree. We have all tried things that didn't work when we first started out. Might buy some magazines with some articals on scent control. I learned alot from good ole huntin mags.
