I've had both. My uncles all have remingtons so I grew up shooting them. I would say hands down the Stoeger is the better gun. Lighter, less felt recoil, comes with 5 chokes, fits me better, and after cycling it with Turkey loads it will shoot all skeet loads. There really isn't one thing I don't like about my Stoeger 2000.

I agree with the above that the stock turkey choke isn't the greatest but it will put at least 20pellets in the head and neck.

I have even won a couple of trap competitions with it.

Oh one last thing, I clean my Stoeger after I shoot it but it is essentiall a waste of time. It is the cleanest shooting gun that I own. No gas is great!
