Thanks for all the great advice & am leaning towards the .223 but sounds like I can't go wrong with either Savage/Tikka. forna's idea of both sounds good but not enough $. Avoid like the plague on used varmit rifles makes sense seeing the owner of the 22-250is a P.dog regular & reloads.
