Know matter what im hunting..ducks, deer, turkeys, rabbits, geese or bear do dont leave the woods know matter what the weather is. Rain, sleet, snow or storm. Towards the end of rifle season here in arkansas i was at my new deer camp in the ozarks and a pretty good storm had been rollin in. I had been listening to the thunder and watchin the lightin all day but I wasnt about to get down, because the front comin through had animals moving pretty good. Well i know there isa fine line between stupidity and toughin out the weather. Thats why i finally did get down when the storm was just about to blow me out of my deer stand

. But it hadnt started rainin yet..it was just windy. Really windy. About the time i got to my four-wheeler it did start rainin and the lightning was bad. and i had about a two mile ride back to camp, in the stinging rain. But i did have rain wear because i knew it was supposed to rain that day..so i didnt get too wet. It was almost dark by the time i made it back tocamp and we packed up and went home because it was a sunday night. On the way home tornado warnings were issued for that storm in the county that we had just left. When we went back a week later it didnt hit our camp but it did hit right down the road and it was said to be an f3 tornado. This all happened this year also.If its just rain ill definately stay but when it gets too bad..there isalways another day. When duck hunting or goose hunting i will go if its rainin, snowin, or sleeting..i dont care.I love to bein the greatoutdoors. Besides, thats some the the bestinduck huntin you can do is when its rainin and snowin. Andi have been when its pouring down rain and wekilled a bunch of ducks. The year before last i was on a turkey hunt with my friend and it started to rain. Of course..i had my rain wear on again because i knew it was supposed to rain. But the clouds lookedpretty bad this time. But we decided to stick it out and call in the rain. So we did..and it didnt really end upbein too bad, just heavy rain and some thunder. But guess what, we both bagged birdsthat day. Now the storm that moved through there that night wasa different story. This is at my old camp by the way in el paso arkansas.A tornado had hitit directly knocking 4 ofour deer stands over and many trees, not to mention my blind dissapeared. This deer camp had bad luck i guess because it had been hit 2 years in a row..both times knocking over deer stands. The second one that came through knockedall kinds of trees in thedirt road thatleads to the camp. It took a week and a half to clean up that road. But the people whohelped clean it got a years free membership

. Dang iwrite too much. Sorry yall. But anywaysiwas just wonderin if yall do the same thing. Im pretty sure yall dobecause hunters know what hunting is all about. And thats bein in thewoods no matter what the case..well..except when you gottoradoe weather..remember that fine line..butany other time, im in thewoods.
