I simply don't see the need or sport in that? (now if the shots are kept within 2-300 yards I guess I would retract the sporting comment...but then there's the need issue)

BUT...I agree, if it is legal, and you have the funds, and you make a humane kill...more power to 'em. I can gaurantee that I'll stick with those wimpy .30s and 7&8 Mausers. Heck before its said and done, if I end up in a state with a rifle season I may be one of those crazy minimalist that heads to woods with 243!!!

I'm at school in KY so I've recently been introduces to the rifle+deer equation. I grew up and live in a state with shotgun/muzzleloader/pistol seasons...so the idea of a 200yards shot even seems unsporting at times.
