At our school we have a system devised that gives the student credit based on difficulty levels in classes. A 4.0 class, the lowest, is what we consider a regular class. A 5.0 class isan accelerated class, while a 6.0 class is an AP class. I was going to take AP microeconomics and AP macroeconomics instead of economics, but I had 1/4 year too many.
