Default Does This Make Sense???

I was sittin on the crapper and thinking about sighting i guns becuase the topics I've read and the fact that Dad hasn't gotten around to going and making sure ours are zeroed in for this season (I don't have my FAC) So I was thinking about the drop of bullets.

Now I know thanks to my fancy book learnin that objects fall at the same speed. but the heavier object will make a bigger dent at the bottom. I also know that when you hold a gun parrallel to the earth (not counting the curvature of the earth) it takes the same time for a bullet fired to hit the ground as opne dropped from the same height. So THAT means that 2 guns of different sizes are shot at the same time and parellel to the ground will hit at the same time. But since one is travveling faster it will hit farther away. That means a faster bullet will ALWAYS have less of a drop than a slower one.

I never really fully understood ballistics and drop before cause I've only been shooting guns a few years. Did I get it correct? Does a faster bullet always have less drop? Or am I incorrect and I have a lot to learn.
