The same exact thing happened to me about a year ago, a burning sensation in the shoulder itself when drawing. Especially bad at the end of a practice sessioin. I took 1 month off as well, and it didn't help. After going to my doctor I learned that 1 month was not enough time for my shoulder to actually heal. I didn't have a torn cuff, mine was tendon and ligament related. I had to take a good 3 months off from shooting, but I didn't need surgery and it doesn't hurt me at all.

Definitely see the doc though. If it is something small or the beginning of a tear.... continuing to shoot with it will definitely land you under the knife.
