You can use a locator if u want when scouting. It may only work when it is closer to breeding season. Basically..a turkey will gobble at noise they here. Ive closed my truck door one time and he gobbled to me. A locator call gives em' a reason to call. It triggers em' off. I use an owl call early in the mornin' and a crow call in the afternoon.
