RE: Hunting by Moon Phase?
You can read the posts by trmichel on this site and the internet has many articles on the subject. Alot of the info you read will relate to the rut.
The basic hunt by the moon philosophy is that if it is a bright night (full moon, few clouds) the deer tend to screw up the hunters' schedule by not moving at sunrise and sunset. Their feeding and sleeping schedule gets shifted and you will see deer moving mid day. Yesterday I saw a familiar group of does and yearlings feeding at 9 am and noon because the moon is now bright. This same group is usually active at 4am and 7am on moon dark nights.
Anyone can feel free to correct me. The moon/rut stuff has always confused me.
