No matter what anybody else tells you, kill the snake before you try to do anything else to it!
It's the safest way for you and the snake doesn't care anymore.
This guy obviously doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to sankes if he recommends killing it, more people get bit trying to kill snakes then leaving them alone! And I still don't believe the 9 foot 97 pounds, that would be an extremely heavy weight for a 9 foot python or anaconda, no way a rattler reaches it.
