i dont have a ruger 10-22 (YET!!) but i think if you are going to buy only one 22 rifle a 10-22 is the way to go. if a person wants to modify it he/she sould make anything from a ray gun to mg42 or a benchrest rig out of it for a couple hundred more dollars
