I personally do not recomend aiming for the head, to many animals have there jaw shot off. A 22lr in the chest does just as much damage if not more then a 223, 222, or 22-250 FMJ that many use for vamint hunting. Let the argument start, the difference is velocity when you compair 22lr to the 223 fmj. Additionally the CCI stinger is not recomended, try yellow jackets.
Sorry had to pick on ya. Comparing the shock, awe, and damage from a .22LR to a .223 on is kind of silly. If you shot a yote close range, for instance the 75 yards the post orignally indicated on trying, a .223 and a 22-250 would rip through and either be stopped after breaking bone, or passing through ultimately. A .22LR in the chest at 75 yards is not even the same as a high powered .22 caliber, not a stinger or the like, but .223 and higher. And shooting a yote with a .22 LR in the chest instead of a well aim brain shot is also silly, borderlined irresponsible as well. My advice on the matter, if you cannot gurantee an accurate brain shot on a coyote with a .22LR, don't shoot it at all. Upgrade your gun for a more powerful caliber so you can take the yote or predator in the chest vitals.
