I personally do not recomend aiming for the head, to many animals have there jaw shot off. A 22lr in the chest does just as much damageif not more then a 223, 222, or 22-250 FMJ that many use for vamint hunting. Let the argument start, the difference is velocity when you compair 22lr to the 223 fmj.
You asked for it, SO I'll start. First off, show me where any serious predator hunter recommends or suggests using a FMJ bullet from any caliber. NO one does! If they do, then they're not too serious about predator hunting!
If you're going to use the 22lr and plan on hitting the brain of a coyote, you better get them closer than 75 yards.
