I'd have to agree with most of what's been said - especially regarding the 10 minutes he was supposedly able to hold back the bow string.
Much of the story feels fishy to me too but there's not much way to prove him wrong or right since he didn't leave us with much conclusive evidence.
Can't blame him with not wanting to give up his hunting spot, but if he ever wanted some credibility to his story, he could have told the reporter "off the record" who could have confirmed it with tribal officials.
As for Bass Pro, I think it's a great idea to get a full body mount if they are indeed doing so. It's a curiousity, and in the right context, with the right explanation, it will have hunters talking.
Even if you don't believe it to be true, you can at least see what a deer that big (heavy) might look like. They are out there and have been taken and entered into the record books.
