I bought a new climber, a cheap Walmart brand (three kids=no cash) and then modified the climbing teeth. I was really noisy opening morning and had a hard time getting set up. I finally started climbing and was up about 8 feet when I felt something watching me. There was a very nice wide 3x3 watching me not 12 yards away. My bow was still on the ground. I started pulling up my bow, got it, unhooked it, took an arrow out of the quiver, nocked it, and then just as I was about at full draw the limb hit the metal on the stand and he lit out. Deer are curious.
