A trick I learned in Germany was to soak them in peroxide!
Thats the safest way to do it. If you use bleach to long it will get chalky. Peroxide is the safest way!
true, found that bleach can turn yellow........ not the stuff they make it seems...... but the perioxide bubbles and bleaches, and will lift the blood stains left and whiten it to mount, have several European trophies that way and do my spurs after removing the skin, soaking the bone in peroxide to whiten and remove stains!
