i' hunt on the ground all the time.. never used a ground blind in my hunting life.. i've hunted from stands and have had opportunities to shoot deerbut every deer i've shot i've been on the ground...i just pick a log and sit down...i dont use any scent killer(i have deer come closer when i dont wear it), when they come in i wait for them to enter shooting distance and then
1.) when their walking or what not and their head is behind a tree i stand up.
2.) then i wait till their head is behind another tree(or theirwhen their not paying attention)and i draw back.
3.) then i let my pin settle on the kill zone and "wack"
