We had that same question a few years back, asked by a friend that wanted to hunt with us. Simply put, (assuming you have your rifle, rounds license) all you should need is a knife, ropeand compass. Wear you winter clothes, boots and wear an orange vest and hat. That should do it. Carrying a cell phonein case ofemergency is a good idea too.

If you want to graduate to treestands, scent lock clothes, new camo, GPS, backpacks, expensive glasses, different calls, scents, maybe radios to keep in touch, that's you call.

You want to go into the woods, shoot your deer, tag it, dress it out, anddrag it out.Sounds simple enough!
