Indeed. Very long and very goofy.

It does seem to be a shameful waste of resources to have 2 clubs covering the same territory, but that is the way the a key member of the BAIhas decidedto proceed.Go figure.[&:]

Theoriginal club was already established, had lively discussion forums, a website, booths at several outdoors shows, and was hosting fun shoots and competitions, when one guy chose to split off to help start another organization. It gotugly on his part,and as much as I personally would love to post the historyeverywhere because I think he deserves to have it out in the open, the details are best left for private discussion, at this time.

The whole thing ispretty well known by many in the bowfishing community and isvery well documented (that's the funny thing about emails, PM's, and voicemails).

Hopefully, there is peaceful co-existence in the future for our clubs.

OK, now back toyour regularly scheduled bowfishingprogram...

The Illinois Bowfishers is the same organizationthat it has been since 2004, minus one member, and plus a bunch more. This year's shoots aregoing to be a lot of fun, and the future looks even brighter. Several shoots will be raising money for Illinois Sportsman Against Hunger, and we've worked with the DNR to open new bodies of water to bowfishing that were previously unavailable. Illinois has a good amout of bowfishing potential, and the progress that has been made already is amazing.
