I think it depends on what you want to do with it. $1200.00 for a pistol to me is no differnt then spending it on a rifle. i personaly hunt 90% woods that is a little thick in spots and the furthest shooting is 100-25 yards with average 50-75. Some of these spots I travel to on a wheeler and it is much easer to me to haul the pistol, when in stand it would be know differnt then a rifle. I feel that I gain shot chances with the smaller frame of the pistol.As of now i'm leaning towards a 460 because I plan to use it as my rifle. There is a nice redhawk at Gander used for 325.That i have considered but feel more confortable with a little heavier gun, not knocking the 44 becuase I have a Ruger rifle semi that has killed many deer and would never part with it.
