I agree with shed on this one.
If the land owner said no then you have to respect his wishes.
Alot of guys would have jumped the fence,roped it or whatever but you done the right thing----good for you
Maybe someday you will find the landowner isnt so bad at all,he probably had bad experiences in the past with other hunters and just got tired of it.
He might let you on his property someday when he realises what a good guy you are.Good ethics is what hunting is all about.
