I've made a few quivers and armguards--nothing impressive, but they worked. I have gotten into making strings pretty deep. You can get a lot of info. on the web--you might check the classfieds on different sites and find the TBB's at a reasonable price.

I can say that, with strings at least, the more you make the better you will get and the easier it will be. Don't try to re-invent the wheel--get advice and information to save yourself a lot of time and aggravation.
