Honestly, I say anything goes when it comes to a person's first deer. No matter how big or how small the deer (anything is a trophy in their eyes) but, with that person (son, daughter, spouse, sig. other, etc) they will always cherish THAT moment b/c more than likely they will be with a person they care about and truthfully, that's all that really matters. That's how hunting traditions get passed on from generation to generation. That's what got me hooked!!
