RE: 3-di rules
Bill,
The good/bad thing about putting something in writing is that someone can always go back an check the record. Bill in your last post you paraphrased Ken as saying "the last two teams have been picked from the north and it went fine".
I went back and read what Ken actually wrote (below is the quote).
"The last selections were based upon the shooter of the year program. Top two were chosen. Since we have gotten so little reponse, I would imagine the board of directors will follow the same format. That is my opinion and I do not know what they will do."
As for the SOY program being awarded to the person who merely shoots the most shoots, I went back and looked at your class (RU).
The person who won SOY in your class shot in 6 of the8 shoots that are used to determine SOY. Taking this particular persons best 5 of his 6 shoots he had an average of 360. There was only one person who had a better average and this particular person had an average of 368 over 4 shoots. I was also curious as to your results and of the two shoots that you shot your average was 356. Based on the numbers I would conclude that your assertion that the SOY is awarded to someone who merely attends the most shoots is not supported by the actual numbers.
The person that had an average of 368 had a real good shot at winning the SOY crown IF he shot another shoot.
The person that actually won could have improved his average IF he would have shot the other two shoots.
You could have won the SOY crown IF you would have shot 3 more shoots,AND shotbetter than the two that you did.
The following phrase may be a Southern thing, on that I am not sure, but regardless I thing it is applicable.
When IF, AND, or BUT becomes candy and nuts we will all be fat and sassy!!!!!
