Default RE: .300 Weatherby Magnum

I have the RUM, and have had the 300Weatherby. I like the RUM better. Not for velocity, but with that funky shape on the brass on the weatherby, I had some trouble. Also, I couldn't get the accuracy out it like my RUM. It wasn't the rounds fault, but like the no belt of the 300RUM. And it has tremidous potential for a wide range of loads from super fast to super slow. I have trouble understanding peoples objection to anything new. Nobody said you have to load this thing with 100gr of retumbo. You know alot of the loads have fast powder like 4350. I think people get emotionally attached to things that have been around for a while. And recoil is not bad at all. I have shot featherweight rifles in 270Win that kicks as much. I know when I went Moose hunting a few weeks ago, I didn't even feel the recoil or hear the blast. I rarely do on a prized animal. Some people if they don't have one, they knock it. As for the comparison, if I had my 300Weatherby back and didn't have chamber problems, I wouldnt have hesitated to take it moose hunting or whatever.
