You know what? A light bulb just clicked on in my brain. DD had asked me about deer hunting up here in my neck of the woods. And this year the deer have all but completely vanished. This explains it. I thought it was because the creeks dried up. But in reality, they actual heard he might be coming to town, and probably moved 6 counties over to try and savethemselves.
