Default RE: Kinetic Energy Loss

ORIGINAL: Huntsleepfish

Can someone tell me how to figure KE loss?
Say a 373 gn arrow at 270fps= 56 ft # At what distance is that?
How much KE does that same arrow have at say 40 yards?
Is there a way to figure the loss?
Thx
The below numbers should be very close.

373 grain arrow at 270 fps should be 60 ft pds of KE

58 ft pds KE at 10 yards
55 ft pds KE at 20 yards
52 ft pds KE at 30 yards
50 ft pds KE at 40 yards
48 ft pds KE at 50 yards
