I have a CVA 12 ga. double.use it only for turkey now.

I shoot 120 grain powder,followed by 1 1/2 oz #6 shot.it will do a job out to 30 yards.I try to get them close than that.::::::: thats the name of the game get'em in close.

I pop a couple caps to dry , then I dump the powder,put an overpowder wad,then a shot wad, pour the shot,then an over shot card.ready to hunt.

I have tried several different powder charge and shot loads. the 120/1 1/2 works great for me.

thats the fun of B/P working up a load,shoot,then shoot some more.

one thing about the shotguns,just wipe the barrel and shoot some more.you don't have to stop and clean it like a rifle.
