Flipping was one of the things I didn't really take to without a lot of practice.ISlander

Thanks Islander.I actually used to think flipping was very silly and a waste of time. LOL You certainly can't argue with success though. I've seen lot's of men pull huge fish out of cat tails. Gettnig hits is easy...Setting the hook is still a skill I'm working on. One day I can get nearly all my bass and then another time I nearly miss them all. Because of our abundance of cat tails and brush piles most Floridians flip. When I first started there was a pro fishing in back of me and caught two 6's. I've learned to drop that worm in every little hole possible. AND FLIP SLOWLY Do not be in a hurry when flipping.

In Maryland and Virginia I used Rapalas and Inline Spinners.{Mepps Black Fury, Mepps Comet , Rooster Tail } and Lazy Ike. However Florida is full of weeds and structure so rubber worms, weed less spiner baits and top water is tops. For those who don't like chucking lures buy a dozen of wild shiners. Expensive but very productive.
