I'd say tossing a spinner/crank or even a grub is easier than wacky styling a worm/plastic. He'd learn the basics of what a strike feels like, practice good hook setting, and get the hang of landing fish consistantly. This tactic would work great now that spawning is just a few months away here in the northern states. Pat


Tough call...it appears he already has some fish catching ability. HOwever for easiest to hook and not lose no doubt ..a spinner bait or crank bait is tops. If he were in Florida it doesn't take long to learn how to use a rubber worm. ANY TACKLE SHOP OWNER CAN SHOW HIM HOW TO TEXAS RIG A WORM.He may want to let us know what kind of water and which state he is fishing from.
