RE: Cocking Aids
I heartily agree with the purchase of a cocking aid, even if it is the simple nylon straps and hooks from Horton. I bought a TL-4 with the Accu-draw 50 because I like the way it works quickly and requires to additional pieces like the 100 does (crank handle). I am only 34 and 6'4" 240# and while cocking my TL-4 is easy enough what I like about the aids is they make practice more comfortable and they are safer while cocking ina treestand. I work for a Horton and Ten Point dealer. I can tell you that after assembling 5-10 bows in a morning and then sighting them in you are GRATEFUL for the aids.
I honestly think that at least 50% of the bows we sell that DON'T have aids on them come back within a month and get aids put on them or the owners sell them and buy new bows with the aids already on them!
