Until those antlers fall off them bucks will keep rubbing. I think when they are getting ready to fall off it kind of bothers them like a loose tooth does us. As far as your question about weather that buck will return I would give that a big yes. Not because he is comming to rub those trees again but because this time of year bucks are generally back to daily routines and specific routes. Sounds to me like you found one of them travel routes.
