I like the P17 Enfield. It's sights were supeior to the original M1903 Springfield sights. But I am not aware of the 1917 ever being employed, officially anyway, as a sniper weapon. The old '03 with some kind of scope was the WWI sniper weapon, and the '03A4 and a version of the M1 were the WWII sniper arms.
