My suggestion is to pick upa book then start reading and get a DVD. I like Smith's DVD, Puppy Development. One book I would recommend is Delmar Smith's book by Bill Tarant Best Way to Train Your Gun Dog. A little outdated but good. It uses a method which uses a light hand.
