On MLK weekend, I sat on the back end of my land and watched a total of 16 turkeys stroll by in different groups over the course of about an hour. Very tempting when you are watching them thru the scope mounted on a a .17hmr. But, I was a pillar of virtue[&:]

Unfortunately, the state of Illinois wants me to pay a godawful amount of money for a non-resident permit to hunt my own land. And I AINT gonna do it. So, I will likely be monitoring my father and a few friends efforts to bag some there. Hopefully,they will at least give me a wing[:@]
