Default Dads first muzzleloader buck(photos)

I was able to get out hunting with my dad and a buddy yesterday. I took them to a spot overlooking a big flat with some alkali lakes and a good spring. We set up on a hillside overlooking the spring and at first light there were deer everywhere. We saw a ton of does and a few small bucks. After we had been there glassing for an hour or so we spotted a couple bucks about 1/2 a mile east. One looked pretty good so we headed off in that direction. On the way there we bumped a couple of other bucks. One was a 150ish 4X4 and the other was a big heavy three by three. We continued after the other deer but my buddy got side tracked when he saw a couple of whitetail bucks. he headed after them and dad and I continued after the mule deer. We never did find those bucks again but I did end up finding a decent whitetail skull. It is a 4X4 with one little sticker. It grossed 143 and change. My buddy never found the whitetails he was after so we decided to head home for lunch. Dad had to do some work on his combine and my buddy had to get back to town for his daughters 1st birthday. Dad and I went out again in the evening. We set up on a ridge of hills looking north about a mile East of where we were in the morning. We were between where we expected the deer to come from and the pea field they would be heading to wards to feed in. It was freezing cold and the wind was howling. We were seeing a few deer and a couple of medium sized bucks. Dad was getting cold so he was going to take a walk and check out a bush where we had seen some does on the walk in. I continued to glass and was seeing deer but nothing big. Dad had been gone a while so I decided to head towards where he was. I crawled onto a hill overlooking the bush he had went to but could not see him. There were a few deer moving through the bush. It was about 20 minutes before the end of legal hunting time and I still hadn't seen dad. I was wondering where he had got to. I was laying on my belly watching a forkhorn walk by me at about 40 yards when I heard a shot in the bush at the base of the hill. Dad had been just below me in a small part of the bush I could not see. When he had left me he found a good buck browseing in the bush. He had belly crawled about 100 yards down the hill into a position where he thought he might be able to get a shot at the buck. The buck had worked itself towards him and bedded down in the tall brush. dad worked his way to within 32 yards of the buck. It was getting late and the buck hadn't got up yet so dad decided to give a little whistle. When he did the buck stood up. He could only see the top of the bucks back and its neck so he centerd the crosshairs on its neck. At the shot the deer dropped right in its tracks. When I got to dad he was as excited as I have ever seen him. This was his first muzzleloader buck and he was very happy to get it. He thinks he will have to buy his own muzzleloader now. Here are some photos of the buck and also the whitetail skull I found.
