I will give you a piece of advice my buddy and I have tried. If you want to extend your lethal hunting range out to 40 yds., shoot at 60-80 yds. We have been shooting like this for awhile in preparation for Elk hunting out west this coming fall. We shoot at a Mackenzie 3d deer. Once you can start grouping them at 80 , when you step up to 40 it seems a whole lot easier. By the way realize your groups will be a bit bigger the farther away you get unless you are an extremely accomplished shooter, just make sure you group within an acceptable killing area. Thats great advice. I also like to shoot from various angles, uphill, downhill. I like to set my target in a wooded area and give myself a small window. When you put yourself though these difficult situations andwhen those shots present themselves in the field, you are ready. Welcome back to archery.
