Hunted all day yesterday (11/9)Public land. Saw a Spike around 7am. Grunted a couple times and he came trotting over but before he got within my bow range, he saw me. Didnt bolt away, but wouldnt come any closer. Didnt see another deer all day. Tons of good rubs in the area, but no scrapes at all. Im sure there are a couple good bucks in the area but probably not many. The heat didnt help either. The Mosquitos were alwful. I'll be out there again Wed, one more chance before gun season.
