RE: .22 LR ballistic tip?
22lrs can have a jacket.....CCI minimags and stingers both have jackets.....i found out a board of certain thickness took the power of my stingers perfectly and they blew out the back but stayed in there by accident somehow....well i pulled one out and it was a PERFECT mushroom by ANY standards of a CF bullet...hmmm lets do it again..every time...perfect mushrooms jackets intact.....maybe its a pressure concern with a 22lr??? when they load them with light...20gr bullets or so they are only going 900fps or so......some dont even use powder i seen with those specs.....i dont know.....i too think it would be awesome to have a light wieght flat shooting 22lr.....standard velocity drop quick...stingers and minimags have a pretty noticeable arch.....atleast i notice when im eyeballing treerats.....even a light weight HP would be nice to see for a flatter trajectory........but then i guess we wouldnt need either 17cal then would we?
