Until this year I hardly got the chance to bowhunt in the morning. I had never killed a deer with a bowbefore 3:00 P.M.until this fall.

This year I was lucky enough to be in the woods at least part of every day from October 30-November 13. I hunted every morning but 4 during this span. I have to say I was very suprised by the amount of deer I saw. I would usually see about 1-2 deer during the afternoon, but this year it was very common for me to see 6-7 deer every morning (pretty rare in my area where they are hunted pretty hard). And alot of the deer I saw were nice bucks. While hunting 2 different properties I saw8 wall hangers (130 and up). All but 1were spotted in the morning. Of the ones in the morning5 wereseen between 6-7 A.M. All these deer avoided my arrow this year(3 were laterkilled by shotgun hunters).

I ended up harvesting 2 does at 8 and 9 in the morning .
