Correct me if I'm wrong but the only source of unregistered long firearms in Canada is not from criminals. I don't think that the first nations have to register any of their firearms. That may sound like a small technicality but it isn't if you're located near a reserve.
I hate unequal laws. If it's OK for one group in Canada then it should be legal for the rest. Getting rid of the long gun registry would only put people back on an equal footing in that regard.
Nailed it on the head Dan O. BTW the numbers I quoted about firearms in canada (census done in the 90's), been told this excluded natives! Your 100% right though and sure wish all of canada would look at the real truths of this matter. Maybe then they would realize guns don't commit crime!!!!!
