RE: Double-Barrel Blackpowder Shotgun
I let my fingers do the walking, and found a guy in a gunshop who shoots one. He hooked me up with the website he orders from. They had great info...pretty much all I was looking for plus some tips you would only learn through experience. I'm not sure of the rules on this site about posting other websites...so I won't unless someone asks me to. Thanks Tree climber. We have winter turkey season opening Saturday. I shot a nice Tom last spring with my 870. The thing of it was it was the last day of the season, on gamelands and turkey were everywhere. Even more special was I shot it only 3 months after severly breaking my back. They removed a rib and made a new vertabrae. I could barely walk. I had one friend carry my gun and another carry a folding camp style reclining chair, and I sat behind a blind and called him in..my first turkey. Looking back on it, it blows my mind. I could literally barely walk..still have trouble. But with the game I shot my friends think my doctor used a horseshoe for the metal in my back. My neurosurgeon is an avid hunter and it amazed him as well, especially since he didn't get a turkey last season.
I'm looking forward to swapping stories as well......Keith
