And what I meant, is I don't remember that time besides right now in the present where people feel the need to reach out 6000 yards (ie long distance to you). He said many years ago. I don't remember this time. I mean I was there, but most of my aquaintances, hunting buddys,whatever,never used a winmag on deer. I know I wouldn't.

My original post about the subject states poeple 10 years ago used 30-06, 308, 270's etc, which is all I remember "many years" ago as he stated.
