RE: Is this possible??? Switchback vs. Allegiance!
CBM SC,
Actually go back and read some of my posts where I mention Mathews bows. I have stated that I think the Switchback is the best bow Mathews has come out with and I wouldn't mind owning one if it weren't for the grip which I dislike (my personal opinion). Also, the reason I asked this question was because I know his bow should be shooting faster than that, not putting down the speed of his bow. As far as the problems my two friends who have owned the SB have had, one got everything worked out and loves his, the other got rid of his for a Hoyt (which he has had a cracked limb with). It is still incredibly funny to me that anybody who owns a BowTech and discusses a Mathews bow is a hater.... fact is I have no problem with Mathews bows and if I was in the market for another hunting bow, I would test them out as well. Like I said, everything will be checked out on Tuesday and I will let everyone know the results.
Also, the slowest compound bow that any of my friends owns would be my girlfriends 05 BowTech Miranda. For a guy it is my buddy Kaseys old High Country that is getting a staggering 199 f.p.s.
P.S. Look back through some posts last year about Brads Switchback. I actually discussed how he had a super fast Switchback, with a identical set-up to my Allegiance, he was only about 4 feet per second below my speeds, and my speeds fell right in line with what they should be. It wouldn't have suprised me last year if his Switchback would have shot 320-322 f.p.s. with IBO specs. Not exactly the "slowest speeds known to man" that you claim.
ghemry,
Yeah, that is true, but that isn't the issue at all. My buddy was supprised to see his speed rating so low. He doesn't care about what kind of speed he is getting as he is drilling the bullseyes with his SB, he just doesn't understand why his speed is so low.
