I like 20-25'...enables me to get away with more noise/movement. Also at that height, I've noticed that even when deer do periodically spot me, they aren't panicked, and will normally stay in the area. Got busted by two doe this year, the were busy staring at me when two big 8s came in, and started showing off for the girls...never did leave the area until I put an arrow in the bigger of the two bucks...and then the only walked off slowly.
